This beautiful marquee wedding took place in the grounds of a family home in Winchester, creating the perfect relaxed and personal setting for a Hampshire celebration. Holly and Paddy met on a blind date set up by her uni friend and his colleague, Freddie. Holly, whom Paddy calls patient, generous, and fiercely determined, met Paddy, whom she describes as the life and soul of the party—enthusiastic, romantic, and devoted to his people. Their “quick drink” at Sophie’s in Soho turned into ten G&Ts, no food, and the start of everything.

Holly and Paddy got engaged at Pentire Point in Cornwall, a place woven into their shared story through countless trips to Paddy’s family home in Polzeath. With a perfect sundowner, an unforgettable sunset, and fresh crab linguine back at Cranfield, the moment felt effortless and entirely them. The ruby in Holly’s ring—taken from Paddy’s mum’s engagement ring—made it even more personal and meaningful.

For their wedding, Upper Farm was the natural choice: Holly’s family home, lived in by her father since he was five. With a new house soon to be built, the day will be something of a last hurrah for a place filled with memories and generations of stories. It’s a backdrop that holds deep emotion and feels truly theirs.

When it came to photography, they wanted images that captured the feeling of the day—its atmosphere, its celebration, and the moments in between. Nothing overly staged, nothing forced, and certainly no fuss over details like shoes. Timeless photographs they can treasure for a lifetime.

They chose me because my style reflects exactly what they hope for: natural, honest imagery that lets the light, the people, and the emotion do the talking. With a little luck from the weather, they hope the photographs will hold the warmth and glow of the day just as they experienced it.
