Jodie and Chris met at work in Finance, initially keeping their relationship a secret for a bit of fun. Eventually, Chris told their boss, who didn’t mind at all, and from there, it was full speed ahead. They quickly bonded over their shared love for travel, scuba diving, and DIY, spending six years slowly renovating their house. Now, with little William in the picture, they’re embracing family life, although their adventures are on pause for the time being.

Their dynamic is full of playful rivalry—Jodie’s a West Brom fan, Chris hates football, and they both adore their dog, Hudson, who gets a yearly holiday to the New Forest. Jodie swears she’s the lucky one, though Chris would argue otherwise. Their relationship began with stolen office glances, an ice bucket challenge video, and secret lunch dates—talk about a love story in the making!

A little bit about Jodie and Chris’s engagement and fabulous wedding day at Farnham Castle

Chris proposed high in the mountains outside Santa Barbara Chapel in Lake Garda, and Jodie had no idea it was coming. For months, Chris had been secretly designing her ring, managing to keep it hidden despite several close calls. One time, Jodie even rummaged through his shoes but didn’t find it.

The proposal itself was perfect, even though Jodie was a sweaty mess after the hike. With a breathtaking view and only a few others around, Chris finally asked for her hand. After confirming he’d asked her dad for permission, Jodie joyfully said yes. To celebrate, they enjoyed champagne on the mountain and later, Moët at their hotel, making for an unforgettable moment.

After their wedding plans were disrupted twice, Jodie and Chris finally found the perfect venue at Farnham Castle. Chris and his parents instantly fell in love with it, and the decision was made. With its stunning setting, incredible hospitality, and great photo opportunities, Jodie was eager to celebrate there. The couple was excited for their upcoming meal tasting, confident everything would come together for their dream wedding.

When choosing a photographer, Jodie and Chris were drawn to my documentary style, as it captured natural, candid moments that told the story of the day. They wanted relaxed, romantic photos without the pressure of posed shots, especially after seeing how beautiful their engagement photos turned out despite their initial discomfort. Furthermore, they were eager to include intimate family moments, particularly with their little one, William. They trusted me to help them make the most of Farnham Castle’s stunning indoor and outdoor spaces. Their desire for authentic, meaningful photos made them confident I was the right photographer to capture their perfect memories.
