CHRISTINA + BEN

Christina and Ben’s story kicked off in 2019 at police college, where they hit it off in class and made it official over drinks by the end of the week. Ben loves that Christina is his best friend—always there to support him and guaranteed to make him smile. Christina, on the other hand, adores Ben’s kind and caring nature (though he saves the best of it for his favourite people).

They’re all about making memories together, whether it’s setting off on their legendary “champagne walks” (yes, they have a dedicated bubbly backpack) or attempting to watch a movie—if Christina’s attention span allows. Their version of a book club? Reading completely different books but enjoying each other’s company. Whatever they do, it’s always fun, full of laughs, and best done together.

For Ben’s 30th, Christina and Ben took an epic trip to Banff, Canada—because what’s a milestone birthday without adventure? While road-tripping to the Columbia Ice Fields near Jasper, Ben seized the moment (and the freezing cold) to get down on one knee. Christina was so excited she barely let him finish the question, let alone pull out the ring, before saying yes!

When it came to picking a wedding venue, Goldney Hall had it all—relaxed but elegant, with gorgeous gardens, a turret, and even a secret underground grotto (because every wedding needs a little mystery). Plus, Bristol holds a special place in their hearts, being the destination of their first official holiday together. It just felt right.

For their photography, they knew stiff, overly posed shots weren’t their style. They wanted the fun, the real, the in-between moments—the laughter, the tears, the dodgy dance moves. That’s why they chose me. They wanted someone who could capture the energy of their day without making them feel like they were in a photoshoot, and let’s be honest, someone who could handle Christina’s attention span!

Wow wow wow! My new husband and I cannot recommend Ali enough to prospective brides and grooms. He had never been to our venue before but he really captured the beauty of it in the ways I had envisaged.
