Charlotte and Rory met at a party over beer pong, thanks to some matchmaking by friends. They love traveling, making the most of holidays after years of lockdowns. Long dog walks and cosy pub dinners are their favorite ways to unwind, though when it comes to rugby, Rory plays while Charlotte watches—with the dog and a glass of wine.

Their engagement was just as thoughtful as their relationship. Knowing Charlotte isn’t a fan of crowds or grand public gestures, Rory proposed on the rooftop of Bath Abbey, completely private and overlooking their favorite city. With no strangers in sight, it was the perfect, intimate moment to start their next chapter together.

A little bit about Charlotte& Rory’s stunning wedding at Brympton House

Charlotte and Rory thought they wanted a barn wedding—until they walked into Brympton House and instantly fell in love. Grand yet cosy, it ticked every box, especially the beautiful, church-like ceremony room, which gave them the traditional feel they wanted for their civil ceremony. It was history, charm, and character all wrapped into one, making it the perfect place to say, “I do.”

But let’s be honest—the real deal-sealers? Pigs. And dogs. Brympton House welcomes four-legged guests, meaning their wonderfully spirited Golden Retriever could be part of the fun (chaos). As lovers of history who’ve just moved into a countryside cottage with wooden beams and a log burner, it felt like fate. A stunning venue, their favorite people, and a few unexpected animal guests—what more could they ask for?

When it came to photography, they knew exactly what they wanted—natural, documentary-style shots that captured the real emotions of the day. Posed photos weren’t their thing (self-confessed “awkward as hell” in front of a camera, with Rory not far behind), so they wanted a relaxed approach that let them enjoy the day without worrying about where to stand or what to do with their hands. The goal? To soak up every moment while the magic was captured for them to relive for years to come.
