Nana and Nick’s story began in the heart of London, through a dating app that would spark a love for adventure, creativity, and shared laughter, ultimately leading to their unforgettable multicultural wedding in Hampshire. Nick describes Nana as “easy-going, up for adventure, reserved in some settings but lets her hair down in others, organised, rule follower!” Meanwhile, Nana describes Nick as “very much goes with the flow, adventurous, bit of a joker, creative, curious, non-conformist!”
Their relationship blossomed naturally, culminating in a proposal under the stars. Nick popped the question while they were stargazing with their telescope — a perfectly personal and intimate moment, blending spontaneity with thoughtfulness. Their story, full of curiosity, creativity, and genuine connection, set the tone for the documentary style I would capture on their wedding day.

Set against the glow of late autumn light in Hampshire, Nana and Nick’s wedding was a beautiful multicultural celebration, blending traditional English elegance with vibrant nods to their Ghanaian and Ugandan heritages. The day unfolded naturally, with a mix of cinematic, fly-on-the-wall shots and carefully composed portraits that captured both the atmosphere and the personalities of the couple.
Guests were treated to a few surprises along the way. Later in the day, Nana and Nick changed into traditional Ghanaian outfits, revealing Nana’s heritage and delighting everyone in attendance. The celebration also included Ghanaian cuisine, a thoughtful nod to Nana’s roots and a wonderful way to bring culture and family together.
When asked why they chose me as their wedding photographer, they wanted someone who could tell the story of their day authentically — capturing moments as they happened, but also adding a cinematic touch to the highlights. My approach ensured that the energy, joy, and personal details of their multicultural wedding were beautifully preserved, leaving them with memories they will cherish forever.
