“We loved working with you! You are so professional and talented!! Muchas gracias!!”
Carmen + Adam’s Engagement Party at Amberley Castle
As I sit here and type this during the Covid-19 lockdown, Carmen + Adam’s engagement party, held at the truly stunning and historic Amberley Castle nestled in the beautiful West Sussex countryside already seems a lifetime ago! It is certainly from a very different time. So much has changed since then and yet it is less than 2 months ago.
I’m so grateful on a number of levels. Grateful that Carmen found me all the way from her home in Spain, via her fabulous wedding planner Priscila Llorens. Grateful that I got to visit Amberley again. And grateful that I was able to shoot this before literally the whole world shut down for a little while. This engagement party will forever shine like a beacon among the doom and gloom of 2020!

An intimate celebration with close family and friends, their day started with a lovely afternoon tea in The Great Room and was rounded off with a delightful, cosy dinner party. At a couple of different intervals during the day, and despite it being early February, we were able to get outside and make the most of the absolutely gorgeous grounds for some fun and romantic engagement photos. Early in the afternoon I used mainly the natural, soft light and then towards dusk and into nightfall I was able to use the floodlights in the grounds and also some off camera flashes using various Magmod gels and diffusers.
Finally I’d just like to wish the happy couple all the very best for their wedding later in the year in Barcelona and their future together!
